| Sharan Leventhal is a violin soloist, teacher, and
chamber musician who has premiered over 100 works.
She teaches at the Boston Conservatory of Music, and
has served on the faculty of Michigan State University
and Berklee College of Music. She is currently a
member of the Gramercy Trio, and was a co-founder of
the duo Marimolin. Leventhal also founded Play On,
Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting
active participation in classical music. |

Eric Segnitz is a violinist, composer/arranger and a
charter member of Present Music. He attended the New
England Conservatory and the Banff Centre for the
Arts. As an orchestral player, Segnitz has performed
with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and held
concertmaster positions with several regional
orchestras. He has also worked in theater, television
and film, and produced recordings in several genres. |

Brek Renzelman earned his diploma in viola performance
from the Indiana University School of Music and went
on to serve as assistant principal viola with the
Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra during the 1985-1986
season. After his next orchestral assignment with the
Atlanta Symphony, Renzelman chose to move back to
Milwaukee,where he has served as the violist with
Present Music since 1992. Renzelman will be rejoining
the Milwaukee Symphony for the 2007-2008 season. |

Karl Lavine is the principal cellist of the Madison
Symphony and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. In
addition to performing with Present Music, he performs
regularly with the Token Creek Festival directed by
John Harbison. He holds degrees from the University
of Wisconsin - Madison and the State University of New
York at Stony Brook. Lavine currently maintains a
private teaching studio in Madison. |
